Project objective

Innovative production process of ductile cast iron will increase Odlewnia Kutno’s competitiveness in the ductile castings’ recipients market the will increase, thanks to guarantee of high and reproducible quality.  

Project results

  • increase of the share of ductile cast iron in the Foundry’s production.
  • savings in raw material consumption – the new production process will require a smaller addition of spheroidising agent.
  • increased productivity due to the reduced time for post-furnace processing of ductile iron. 


Thanks to enhanced mechanical properties, the new product can be used in the automotive industry, however it may be as well used in the machine building, the rail and energy industry.

The implementation of an information and decision-making system will ensure quality control at all stages of the casting process, enabling an almost immediate response to detected defects and the elimination of their source. This will, in turn, contribute to reducing production costs.
