In Kutno Foundry, R&D works are being conducted within the project co-financed with the European Funds from Smart Growth Operational Programme 2014-2020. The process is being held by an experienced team of engineers on the Foundry’s stable machinery. 

There are the implementation objectives developed for the technology of production of ductile cast iron characterised by high plasticity with high strength parameters at the same time. Developed technology of ductile cast iron production assumes achieving tensile strength at the level of minimum 500 and 600 MPa with elongation of 14 and 10%, respectively. Thanks to the works of the team, the developed technology of production of the cast iron of the above described parameters is going to be implemented still this year. Potential Clients using such stringent cast iron are those from the Automotive branch.
